Captivating TX carries the same heart and core message of Captivating: discovering the heart God gave you, understanding the wounds that have shaped your story, and growing in a deeper, personal relationship with God.

What makes Captivating TX unique is that the retreat is presented live by our own team. Rather than simply watching recorded sessions, women hear the message through live teaching, personal testimony, prayer, reflection, and the real stories of women who have walked this journey themselves.

The message is the same. The setting and delivery are deeply personal.

No. Captivating TX is a live retreat experience.

Our team teaches the sessions, shares personal stories and testimonies, leads prayer, and creates space for each woman to reflect on her own story and relationship with God.

There may be occasional supporting media, but the retreat is centered on live teaching, real connection, and personal encounter.

We believe God created every woman with a unique heart: desires, beauty, strength, longing, personality, and a story that matters.

Over time, wounds, disappointment, rejection, fear, shame, and the messages we receive from others can cause us to hide, protect, or lose touch with parts of that heart.

Captivating TX creates space to invite God into those places, recognize what has been wounded, and rediscover more fully who He created you to be.

No. Captivating TX is a Christian spiritual retreat, not professional counseling or therapy.

The weekend includes teaching, prayer, reflection, and personal time with God as women consider their stories and the places in their hearts that may need healing.

Captivating TX is open to women age 18 and older.

Not at all. You do not need to arrive with a strong faith, all the answers, or everything spiritually figured out.

Some women come feeling very close to God. Others come because they feel distant, confused, tired, or simply hungry for something deeper.

You are welcome wherever you are in your journey.

In fact, many women come to Captivating TX because they are longing to feel closer to God or to hear His voice more clearly. You do not have to fix anything before you arrive.

No. Many women attend without knowing anyone beforehand.

The retreat naturally creates opportunities to connect, laugh, eat together, talk, and build friendships without forcing anything.

No. You will never be forced to share personal details or your story publicly.

Much of the retreat is about creating space for your own one-on-one relationship with God and allowing Him to meet you personally in your story.

The weekend includes live teaching, personal testimonies, prayer, worship, reflection, journaling, meals together, time outdoors, and space to simply slow down.

The schedule is intentionally designed to give you both meaningful content and room to process what God may be showing you.

No. There are quiet moments for prayer and reflection, but Captivating TX also includes conversation, laughter, meals, connection, and plenty of life together.

Yes. The retreat includes intentional space to rest, walk, journal, pray, enjoy the property, or simply be still.

Yes. Prayer opportunities are available throughout the weekend, but you will not be forced into any experience or activity.

Pricing varies depending on the lodging type and whether you choose shared or private accommodations.

Every registered guest will have an assigned sleeping space. The style of bed and level of privacy will depend on the lodging option selected during registration.

Yes. You may submit a request to stay with a friend or small group. We will do our best to honor lodging requests, but shared-space assignments cannot always be guaranteed.

It depends on your lodging choice.

The bunkhouse cabins use a nearby shared bathhouse with restroom stalls and showers. The family-style cabins and three-bedroom house include private bathrooms, and the barn has restrooms and showers located inside.

Retreat registration includes eight meals, along with plenty of snacks and a coffee and tea station.

Please provide dietary restrictions or food allergy information during registration. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable needs and will contact you if additional information is necessary.

Captivating TX is held at Knott Creek Falls, 2931 Fiedler Rd, Harper, TX 78631.

Please plan to arrive Thursday between 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM. The retreat concludes Sunday at approximately noon.

San Antonio International Airport is the nearest major airport, approximately 75 miles from Knott Creek Falls.

Retreat pricing will vary according to the lodging option you select. Final lodging rates and availability will be shown during registration.

Registration includes lodging, eight meals, snacks, coffee and tea, your retreat journal, retreat materials, and the full Captivating TX weekend experience.

Yes. Please do not let finances alone keep you from attending.

Registrations cancelled 30 days or more before the retreat may be refunded less the applicable $100 handling fee. Registrations cancelled fewer than 30 days before the retreat are non-refundable.

It is recommended, but not required, to read Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge before attending.

A detailed packing list will be provided before the retreat. In general, plan for comfortable casual clothing, outdoor shoes, personal toiletries, any medications you need, and clothing appropriate for changing Hill Country weather.

Your retreat journal and retreat materials are provided.

You are welcome to bring your Bible if you would like to have it with you during personal reflection and prayer time.
